I'll be going for the second round

So I met up with my doc and since we can't really say if the chemo has any positive effect or not I've agreed to try another cycle and hopefully then it will be clearer if its working a bit or not. Since this is my last shot at buying some extra time I might as well struggle through another cycle.

On a lighter note, after a long time of resisting, I have sign up to facebook.com few days ago. Its quite fun since almost everyone is on it. Anyway. My next post is probably gonna be from hospital again.

Till then.

Back at home again

So my temperature has settled down and my boold is improving so I was let to go home yesterday with some oral antibiotics and few supplements.

I'm feeling pretty good at the moment and hopefully I can put some weight back on before I'll go to hospital again.

On Monday I'll go to see my oncologist, have a chest x-ray, and see if we gonna carry on with the chemo or not. Anyway, thats all the news.

From hospital bed

I've never thoght this will be possible with NHS but I'm actually writing this from my hospital bed. Last week I had a 1st cycle of IFOS to try and slow the progress of the dissease in my lungs. I think my body has now had so much chemo that it just refuses to deal with it anymore. All side affects were worst than any time in last 3 years of my treatment.

I was addmitted back to hospital after 4 days at home with temperature and low blood count. They still didin't find the source of infection so for now I'm staying in hospital.

Sorry about the spelling, the keyboard is very small and hard to write on and the spell check doesnt work on hospital browser.

I hope to be home soon and will have to think hard if its worth having any more chemo or not considering the benefits are not really worth all the problems and pains.
