One week to go

So I have one more week of radiation to go and then...what? To be honest I have no idea. I'm going to see the radiologist next week and then probably my oncologist and see what happens next. Most probably it will be back to the lets wait and see game.

The side effect of radiation are suppose to be getting worse for the next 2 weeks but so far its ok and I'm hoping it will stay that way. There is not many things worse than the osteosarcoma PAM chemo so this should be a breeze. At least I hope so.

The website came out quite well (see for yourself www.robdian.co.uk) and I'm busy on another one. Well, till next time.

Cheers

Half way...

I'm 2 weeks into my radiation and have another 2 to go. So far it's been ok and I couldn't feel any side effects. This is slowly changing and the last few days it started to be bit harder to swallow stuff as my food pipe is getting a bit swollen from the radiation.

I'll se how the next week goes. From what I've been told the side-effect should start kicking in now and it's going to get only worse for the next 3 weeks when it should peak and then slowly get better.

So I'm halfway down but the "fun" is just about to start. Next week I'm probably gonna be bitching and moaning Foot in mouth

One down three to go

The first week of my radiation is over. As they told me before I'm inlikely to feel any side effects until some time into the second week which are suppose to get worse week by week until about 1 week after I'm finished. After that it should start getting better again. I'll see how it goes.

I'm not looking forward to it but I'm glad I'm feeling ok so far.

Everything is ready

Yesterday was 3 years since I went for a x-ray that showed something seriously wrong with my leg. Since then, 6 months of chemo, bone replacement, 3 lung surgeries, surgery on my scalp, 5 months of chemo, another lung surgery and here I am today just about to start radiation on Monday.

I've managed to avoid radiation until now but that will change soon. Today I went for a simulation run and it looks like everything is planned and prepared so on Monday I'll start firs of my 20 radiation sessions which will take 4*5=20 exactly 4 weeks (every working day).

I'm still sore from the last surgery and any fast walking makes me breathless so it will be interesting to see how I'll feel after two weeks of radiation.

We might save on electricity if I start glowing :-)
