Compact or DSLR?
I got a big dilema. I'm planning to buy a good quality digital camera that can do some interesting pictures and I can't make up my mind how far up the ladder should I go.
I'm thinking between a compact camera that got a lot of manual options and big zoom (namely the new Canon PowerShot S2 IS that is comming out in UK in few weeks) and a DSLR namely Nikon D70 which is getting bit cheaper as the new D70s and D50 is comming.
D70 is nice but it requires few extra lenses which are pretty expensive but it could last forever as I would just buy bigger or better lenses as the time goes.
With the Canon S2, appart from the extra memory and batteries and maybe a telephoto extension there is little extra money to put in.
I think i'm gonna go for the canon s2 as its smaller, lighter, its got brilliant functions (super macro, 12x optical zoom...) I can take it for holidays and I can learn bit more about the manual settings.
What do you think? I should say that up to now i only had "point and shoot cameras"
Back home
Just a quick one. I'm back from my holiday and don't know what to do first. Million emails to read, post to open, bills to pay, bags to unpack.....
And its freekin cold in London. Where is the summer????
